Hi,
Any advice gratefully received on this.
We have a double socket in our kitchen (used for the kettle and toaster mostly). On the other side of the wall in the next room is our shower.
Went to switch the kettle on the morning, with the kettle plugged into the left hand socket, and it didn't work when the left hand plug was switched on. It *did* work when the right hand one was switched on, even though the kettle was still plugged into the left-hand socket, and the right hand socket was empty.
We're renting, so I'd like to be able to give the landlord as much info as possible before we ring him, and to know how serious this is. I've been in flats before where water ingress has done weird things to the electrics. Is this one of those times? And what needs doing to fix it?
Both the sockets are switched off and not in use at the moment.
Thanks,
Bean
