Hi all
the firm i work for are ECA registered and abide by the Jib.I have a JIB level 2 trainee electrical ecs card .question is when i travel to and back from site in a company van i get paid jib rates for the travelling can any one tell me how it is worked out i have looked at the jib site and do not fully under stand how it is done .example i have been travelling to leicester from colchester essex trip time 2.5 hrs each way is it worked out per mile ???

thanks for the link i have worked out i will get around £20.00 for a 120 mile each way round trip does that sound about right?
 
120 miles will take you 3-4 hours. so that's beween £5 and £6.66 per hour. not exactly decent wages.
 
takes 2.5 hours to cover 120 miles have done the journey every day last week leave at 05.30 and arrive on site at 08.00 for bacon butties with cup of tea .we do get lodgings paid for with food if we want but prefure to come home

Can't remember but think you wil find that if the job is 30 miles away the figure quoted is for travelling there and back as well as travelling xpenses.
 
Last I worked for JIB company it was paid one way in a straight line from office to the job.
