hi all i am helping a friend out he has 2 big flood lights which are rated at 230 to 240 volt 50hz. they have a two pin european plug on them which states 16 amp. whats the easiest way to run them in the uk?

Are they for outdoor or indoor use. Do the existing two pin plugs have an earthing contact on the side of them.
 
What wattage are the lamps
