I'm wiring a barn conversion holiday let, and the bathroom will have surface mounted spot lights on exposed wooden beams. Is it ok to have the lighting feed go to/from the fan isolator, otherwise there will be 5 cables going to one spotlight: feed in, feed out, switch wire, 3 core to isolator and 1 to the other light- a bit obtrusive. I've googled it, but all diagrams seem to have feed to isolator from ceiling rose. Cheers.

Get an electrician in and he'll be able to advise you but yes, there are a million and one different ways you can wire up a number of accessories within a room.

Surprised that nobody's said that the fan does not have to be supplied from the light.
