Hi,

I'm drilling through the kitchen wall into the wooden leantoo. I'm using 20mm conduit through the hole, with a conduit box one side and a wiska box the other.

Do I have to use any fire sealing? Whether inside the conduit or around it as it exits the brickwork? I found a link that said you don't have to fire seal inside the 20mm conduit as it's too small, is that true? But I can't find anywhere that says about sealing the conduit exterior.

Many Thanks if you can help

drill 20mm hole (or 22mm) then there's no gap to fill.

You do not need to fire seal holes whatsoever, unless the hole penetrates a fire compartment. The main places you'll find one of those in a domestic setting is likely to be the ceiling of an integral garage or if you live in a building with several dwellings (an apartment building, eg).

For your regular house there's no requirement.
