Anyone ever had a long SDS bit totally jammed in a stone/granite type wall - and abandoned it ?? :D
Yes, Cut it off with angle grinder and banged in a few mm more before covering with some adhesive and stone dust to hide my 'mistake'.

This rings all my nostalgia alarm bells regarding trying to get a broken 'bit' out of a hand rawl tool.
Mine had a hole in it so you could knock the bit out with a center punch.
Except of course the hole was in the wrong place.

I had a little drift to loosen the bit in the old Rawltool.

last time i had a little drift, was in a gale. mooring broke. boat ended up on the rocks. all goes to prove, if it's got ---- or floats, it's gonna cost.

I sheared off a bit holder in my makita impact driver. I disassembled the chuck and got the broken bit out, but it never went back together the same, the bits kept falling out the end! . Thankfully it was 11 months and 3 weeks old so it went back to makita who very kindly fitted a new chuck!
