Flat wood bit stuck in impact driver

i have a flat wood but stuck in my makita impact drill any ideas to try get it out i have tried everything i can think of

I would squirt WD40 down the chuck, clamp the bit in a vice, then keep tugging till it comes out.

A lot of these spade bits fit impact drivers.
I think some are even designed to be used in them?

A couple of pairs of pipe grips... one on the bit holder, one on the bit and try to turn the bit in the opposite direction to that in which it was last used.

Sort of.
Guy I was working with tried to drill through a bank vault wall and got the bit caught up in the mesh.
Had to cut off the bit with an angle grinder and start a anew.

I got a 20mm sds bit stuck in a stone wall of a house tried the usual tricks and it wouldn't come out sooo I borrowed a heavier drill off a mate and went and snapped the bit off about half way down it. Left half of it in the wall. It must of had a weak point in the bit and decided enough was enough!

Coincidentally, I bought a set on Armeg impact drill bits this morning and used them to fit a radiator this afternoon.

Really impressed, just having to take one tool can make a big difference with reactive maintenance jobs, especially in city centres.

I was drilling down through my concrete kitchen floor behind the kitchen cabinets to replace the water main and got a 3ft 20mm drill bit stuck but eventually managed to get it free by using a 25mm drill bit and drilling down beside it, at some cost to the 25mm bit, but I had spent two days getting that far and was not going to try again.

Yes, Cut it off with angle grinder and banged in a few mm more before covering with some adhesive and stone dust to hide my 'mistake'.

Mine had a hole in it so you could knock the bit out with a center punch.
Except of course the hole was in the wrong place.

last time i had a little drift, was in a gale. mooring broke. boat ended up on the rocks. all goes to prove, if it's got ---- or floats, it's gonna cost.

I sheared off a bit holder in my makita impact driver. I disassembled the chuck and got the broken bit out, but it never went back together the same, the bits kept falling out the end! . Thankfully it was 11 months and 3 weeks old so it went back to makita who very kindly fitted a new chuck!
