hi ive been a sparky for 15 yrs and have always used an earth rod to earth a gas meter on tt systems but recently been told it is a big no no but still thought it was allowed or is it just since the 17th has been brought out that its changed
 
To be honest, its been a big no no since the year dot.

No offence but im not sure why you didnt know that and the reasons for bonding incoming services:confused:
