Sorry for this query but want to double check on this.

I've terminated 10mm2 SWA before and always used a CW25 gland. However the knockouts on the enclosure I'm working on are 20mm and some sizing guides suggest a CW20 is suitable for 3 core 10mm2 SWA.

Can anyone confirm whether a CW20 gland will work with 3 core 10mm2 SWA cable?

Thanks for your help.

I have only ever used 20 on 10mm 3c SWA.

Check the pack that your glands came in.

Normally all the size and types are listed on the back.

Interesting and thanks for the reply. 20 would be easier in terms of the enclosure.

Final query: what's the difference between CW20 and CW20S?

I beg to differ although previous posts are correct it does come down to cable manufacturer and gland manufacturer sometime a 25 is needed, and reading the bumf on the back of most gland packs it does express the sizes may not fit different manufactured cables as specified only way to be accurate is to take external and internal diameter measurments or easy way keep a few spare packs of different sizes for when you get caught out.

Just checked website of the cable manufacturer and a 20 gland is fine. Thanks for the replies.

This is probably the case with their own brand of glands but just be careful when sourcing other brands as ive mentioned above they dont always do what they say on the tin (packet), if you get you cable and glands from the same source they will usually be accurate to the tables on the packs.
