Hi Forum ;
Need some explanation.
I have an old over-the-range extractor fan with two GU10 Halogen lights that I want to replace with two GU10 LEDs. Connecting the two LEDs work fine in the low and medium power settings but, on the high power setting, they both flicker and turn off. However--and here is my question--if I connect one halogen and one LED, the LED works fine on all three settings. Is this because the Halogen draws more current and therefore "assists" the LED in drawing the right power amount? Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Are you quite sure these are mains voltage GU10 lamps? Typically (at least over here), these cooker hood / extractor lamps tend to be 12V MR16 lamps (and which can exhibit the issues you describe when fitting LED lamps).
