Right after a long hiatus (wife sick, me sick, me sick again, xmas etc)
I have decided that the running costs of my garage lighting are a bit...strong
I was given 8 of 2 ft x 2ft modulars (4x 18W in each), now apart from the running costs...they take too long to warm up in our fantastic british winter weather

So I am thinking about converting them to LED tubes over a period of time.
However the tubes are wired in series, and the wiring looks akin to a rats nest (the builders wot gave me the lights weren't overly careful in taking them down.)
So not wanting to wreck any led tubes and having my head up my rear end (head is just mince this week, well and truly) Can someone give me some advice on rewiring them to bypass the ballasts and starters?
Had a look at the wiring but not getting my head around it at all...

To be clear I just want to take power from the feed cable to the lamp holders, whats getting me tied in knots is the series connections without any markings on the holders (well not that I can see anyway...maybe that opticians visit the wife keeps nagging about might be a good thing...)

Awaiting the usual friendly (?) abuse :P

LED tubes tend to need just Line and Neutral at one end.
For a four tube modular just ignore all the previous wiring and have a five port push fit connector connected to line and take one wire from only one end of each lamp holder (the same side in each case) back to the push fit (they should be OK down to 0.5mm²) and do the same with the other side of the same end of each lamp holder.

The other end lamp holder is now just a holding point. Remove all wires from the ballast connections.

Cheers Richard, I tried tracing it all out the other day but its a rats nest well and truly, couldn't figure what to do with the other ends, more I read the more it was confusing me, some reckoned you needed new lampholders...
Mine are a little different but I'll get it figured out (They have 2 ballasts per fitting, and 4 series starters)
Got a box of 222 5 port lever wagos I've been looking for a use for.
Will report back at some point
Cheers again

Follow a wire from a lamp holder and connect it to line. Follow the other wire at that lamp holder and connect to Neutral, repeat for one lamp holder on each tube and disconnect all the other wires.

If you have linked wiring from lamp holder to lamp holder just take the link to line or neutral as appropriate.
