O
overskilled
Right after a long hiatus (wife sick, me sick, me sick again, xmas etc)
I have decided that the running costs of my garage lighting are a bit...strong
I was given 8 of 2 ft x 2ft modulars (4x 18W in each), now apart from the running costs...they take too long to warm up in our fantastic british winter weather
So I am thinking about converting them to LED tubes over a period of time.
However the tubes are wired in series, and the wiring looks akin to a rats nest (the builders wot gave me the lights weren't overly careful in taking them down.)
So not wanting to wreck any led tubes and having my head up my rear end (head is just mince this week, well and truly) Can someone give me some advice on rewiring them to bypass the ballasts and starters?
Had a look at the wiring but not getting my head around it at all...
To be clear I just want to take power from the feed cable to the lamp holders, whats getting me tied in knots is the series connections without any markings on the holders (well not that I can see anyway...maybe that opticians visit the wife keeps nagging about might be a good thing...)
Awaiting the usual friendly (?) abuse
