i have a set which i use mainly for removing tight screws where the application of a hammer may be useful. they have stood up to the abuse \ok. for the money, ideal for apprentices/trainees as a first set.

I'd be interested to know if they have actually each individually been tested to 10kv as IEC 60900 requires.

Can't imagine there's much money set aside for testing if they're selling a set of 6 for £4.99...

all boils down to are they value for the money. answer is yes. no worse than wickes . for a trainee who should not be working live, they are a good buy. on a different slant, i have several aldi workzone cordless power tools. all work fine, dirt cheap with a 3 year warranty. and not a great loss if dropped off a ladder.

I had a Aldo set of vde screwdrivers and have been absolutely fine , still use them most weeks.
i have various random screwdriver sets from ck , wera & Aldo.
to be honest I can’t tell the diff between a £2 driver & a £7 driver

Speaking of Aldi value , I also picked up their own brand usb double Sockets for About a fiver each when they were on sale.
beem absolutely fine and again can’t tell the difference between Aldo, mk l, Hager , BG etc

Seriously guys, not commenting on the actual product or site but buy stuff at the domestic market and use it for the professional market then don't be surprised it it doesn't meet you standards.

Qualified to Improver/Electricians Mate but most of my work has been house renovation at a DIY level. Painting & decorating, landscaping, minor roofing repairs, changing/installing electrical accessories, that sort of thing...
