Evening..I'm after a bit of advice coding an EICR I have done today, I don't do an abundance of them so just a bit unsure.

1. 3 sockets spurring of a ring without a fused spur.

2. Evidence that ring cables had been joined behind the DB, the L & N end to ends gave me the results I was looking for but the CPC was 0.01 ohms. I tested at a socket with the 2 legs at the board out and got a correct reading which suggests figure of 8 wiring on the CPC.

3. Socket circuit wired through metal conduit buried in the wall with metal back boxes connected, the earths for the sockets have been taken off the back boxes.

4. Back boxes not earthed on various circuits

5. Incorrect colours used on socket circuit.

Thanks in adavnce.

1.
do you mean there are 3 sockets spurred separately off 3 parts of the ring? if so, no code.

2.
is the wiring system to the sockets, singles in metal conduit, if so the live and N will be rings but the cpc may well be the conduit system itself.

3. look at 2.

4. are the back boxes earthed through the accessory? if so no code, although i prefer to see a wire link.

5. what colours?
red / black all is good,
green, pink, white etc. incorrect identification of conductors.

3 sockets in a line off 1 socket.

Without digging out my 15th Ed you could use the yellow and blue for single phase identification but I am 99% sure this only applied to distribution and not final circuits.
What are your Coding thoughts OP.

So it's likely that the 2 T+E ends in the DB join L to L and N to N onto singles, but the CPCs connect to the metal conduit,(this is all hidden somewhere) then the CPC is taken off every back box to connect to the socket. Is this acceptable?? Obviously I can't get R1R2 off this so would I take an R2 reading off the furthest socket? The Zs readings I took were all acceptable.

It was often misread and should only be applied to distribution circuits not final circuits like you have.
