Hi guys, im new to this forum so go easy please 
I am 17Th Ed and Part P Accredited. Have been doing electrical work for years ( commercial, minor works only ) but I havent done any house bashing for years ( about 9 or 10! ). I am not part of a scheme as my employer doesnt need it. Im an MOD SUBBY doing mainly minor works or the occasional new circuit /ring final/ lighting. ( sounds like an easy life doesnt it LOL).
I have contacted the LBC and thay are happy for me to do the work on production of my 17Th Ed certs (C&G) and a fat wad of over £100 to come and inspect! (Still chaeper than a scheme as I dont inted doing another house bash EVER!)
Anyways. I have bought my daughter a flat and it needs gutting and, needless to say, the wiring needs upgrading. So, full rer-wire and new C/Us ( one for main supply and one for economy 7 night storage). The economy 7 was a simple 4 way board and RCBO on all circuits ( just for piece of mind ). The main board is an twin RCD and MCBs to suit each circuit.
That is 90% finished and my mind is looking to the certification and BOY am I rusty! Ok thats out of the way, cut to the chase...
I have been in the supply/meter room (seperate room, were talking 13 floors up!). Its full of trunking and about 20 or so meters, one of which is mine. Luckily there is a double pole breaker inline so I didnt need to pull the fuse ( the seal has long since gone anyway ).
The first thought is supply info ( there may be more questions looming, but as I am only there weekends ....)
THERE IS NO WAY OF SEEING THE MAIN INCOMING SUPPLY TO DETERMIN THE SUPLY TYPE IE. TNC OR TNCS (VERY unlikely top be TT!). ALL I HAVE IS A CONDUIT INTO THE FLAT WITH l/n/e SUPPLIES AND 2 SMALLER CONTROL WIRES FOR THE NIGHT ECON'7 GEAR.
Is there a general *rule of thumb/ standard accepted practice* for supplies to flats guys? I have rung the provider and they have no records ( sounds familiar?? ).
Im confident with the design/ practical side, but the report looks unfamiliar and Im VERY anxious to get it right with the BCO when he calls!
So guys, can you offer any help please?
