Hi,
Thanks for that.
I am looking at selling them but not sure the best way to do it.
As these are a bit old is it more likely to be for a collector or are they still used today.

Hi,
I am wanting to know about the best way to sell them. I would rather they go to someone who can use them properly as from what I have read they were good in their day and some people still use them today. I have been offered £10 for the fluke and as I do not understand them at all I did not know if this is a good price or not? We have had them in our shed for about ten years but they are both in cases and still look in good condition.
It was just a bit of advice from those who know that I was after.

that edgecombe is exactly the same as one i have. the original battery was a PP7 9V, now obsolete. replace with a couple of alkaline PP3's in parallel, a bit of foam to stop 'em rattling around. and you have a very useful 500V megger ( OK insulation resistance test meter). ideal for fault finding saves lugging a big expensive MFT up ladders.

Hi Jill, The Fluke 12 multimeter has been discontinued, so is only available on the used market, it used to cost about £100 + VAT when new. A Fluke 12 in very good condition, without a recent calibration certificate, is unlikely to sell for more than £50 and the Metrohm £30. Your best bet is to either post pictures and details to the Sales or Wanted area of this forum or eBay. Oh, just one more thing, don't be fooled by the Metrohm current new price of over £700, it does not meet the current UK or European intrinsically safe standards, therefore its value here is only that of a bog-standard analogue insulation tester of little appeal in the current market.
