Welcome Stevo ,
These times had me rediscover Relay logic on youtube and
some good old fashioned lifts !
( DC to AC conversions without VFDs are brutal )
.. Not active in that area but intrigued ..

I found a lot of good PLC stuff online and a basic simulation app for trying out logic. VFDs are mainly Schneider or Hitachi and are fairly easy to diagnose and set up.
