Hi guys, I'm gaz :smile5:
Right, im sure you guys get this all the time but here I go (new to this by the way).
so 4 years ago I started my apprenticeship, picked things up very well so was given a van as a 2nd year apprentice and worked alone from then on out pretty much, therefore I fell behind on my portfolio (nvq3). Anyway I finished everything in college, passed everything with flying colours:clap:.... minus my portfolio due to no supervision to take pictures:angry_smile:.As soon as I finish college, the company I worked for went into liquidation, so im unemployed now.
So as im aware I have c&g level 2+3 and am2.
Does this mean im not qualified?
Will I struggle finding another job with just these?
I a got taught to the 17th edition, but do I need to sit a seperate exam for that?
Your help would be really appreciated as im MEGGA confused.

Hi Gaz, I have a guy who has been with me for 7 years now and he went to collage and also
has not finished his portfolio. He does have his 17th edition but I don't think technically he is fully qualified even though he is a very good err... electrician with a lot of experience.

I think your going to have to get your portfolio done and assessed and take your 17th edition to tie up all the loose ends.

Yeah it's a tricky situation your in buddy but I don't think your alone. I'm sure you could get a job on minimum wage as an apprentice and quickly get it sorted though.

I know mate. Gutted that them 4 years could mean nothing. I've just posted my situation in the jobs section. Hopefully someone could help me out for a day, all for the sake of around 20 pics. I'd pay if needed be just to save the four years being wasted

I think there a companies that will help you get your photos but at a cost.

Also try asking the college you attended if they can help you out, they might let you come in and take photos for you, I know my college did that sort of thing!!
