Holes through joists

Hi all
Question regarding the amount of cables through holes in joists. Is there a set amount that you should stick to, or does it not matter how many cables are through a joist hole. As long as there is movement in the cables, finger gaps side of cables, reason i asked as seen about 8/9 cables go through a 32mm hole but there was still movement? Thanks in advance

Be careful of group factors, correction factors, usually 6 cables maybe acceptable.

Depends how many you can in past the plumbers pipe.

you also didn’t mention cable sizes of your 8 or 9 through a 32mm hole

if they won't go in with a hammer, drill another hole.

I’d say if there is still easy movement it will be fine......

Thanks For the replies lads there is 5x 2.5 mm and 3x1.5mm cables through a 32mm hole but still movement and space ?

Don't make it a tug of war else you will burn the cables.
