Just back from family hols by the seaside in Dorset. ... fresh air, great fish and chips .. even the odd bit of sunshine.

We rented an apartment for the week - beautifully set up - obviously the people that own it have spent a lot of money on the place.

It's interesting to see how home owners prioritise their investments - all new windows throughout, floors, decoration, furniture - brand new kitchen, LCD TVs - the lot!

So I just have to take a peek at the electrics - well, it would be rude not too -

Niiiiice! I heard somewhere that holiday homes don't fall under Part P as they are considered commercial ventures. Is there any truth in this, or is it, as I suspect, so much balls?

i see the problem...!! that naughty Push in Fuse with blue dots is playing hide and seek (top left hand side)
no wonder they had to use the red "Electrician" Tape...!

I always have a nose myself, and as I usually go to france have seen quite a few of their installations. I must say I have never seen anything which is less than wonderful (usually Merlin Gerin)

Plumbing is another story though!
