The most you can get from an ordinary socket is about 3kW.
If the battery is 24kWh, that's an eight hour charge or longer depending on losses/efficiency.

That all depends on how you define ordinary!

Where I work 400a 3ph sockets are perfectly ordinary, but then other people would see a 32A socket as highly unusual
 
british gas puts them in for FREEEEEEE!!!!!! unless the run is more than 10m or you want a 32a or unless you need your main fuses pulled other than that FREEEEEE!!


One can only imagine what these installations are going to look like!!! Probably end up costing the homeowner money to install correctly and/or neatly!! lol!!
