Hi, my friends got a spa bath and wants it wired in. I was thinking of running some 10mm t&e under the bath into a ip65 junction box, then into the pump underneath. I can't find anything in the regs or part p which says anything about this so could to with some advice. Also would need some type of gland for the 10mm t&e going into the box? Any help would be great.thanks

The only time I have installed a 10mm cable and that was an SWA was for a Hot Tub with 3 stage heaters , Tv , Radio Hi Fi the lot with 3 large pumps and could take 8 people , massive thing

Look when I was a young lad and was occasionally allowed into the hallowed corner of the factory on tea breaks (to bring the 'glossy' mags and make the brews for the electrical gods) inbetween clouds of smoke smoke they always said, 'just use 10mm' as the answer for everything!.

Bit like Monty in the war, he always went left flanking .........

I was always told that for eg. If installing a power shower at 9.5 kw which would be what 39a. This would run at full potential so would need 40a mcb and 6mm t&e if clipped direct. Right?

So in fact, say the bath ran at eg 13a, the shower at 40a, surely these could go into a 60a ip65 jb under the bath all in 10mm then into the consumer unit? Would they need to be on seperate circuits?

A power shower? you are talking about a conventional shower then at 9.5kw, which is it, your all over the place here, get a grip.

I can't seem to work out why you putting a JB under the bath for a shower myself , sounds like you want to break into the circuit to feed a 13 amp appliance , OMG ,,,
