Good evening all,

Anyone used any of this yet?

Reason I ask is that it's on offer at the minute, 2.5mm 100M for £47.

Apparently it's made by Prysmian so should be OK would you think?

LAP as a brand has been around a lot longer than shagfix, but the Prysmian (as far as I know) manufacture under the brands of Prysmian and Draka, so I can't see what would be in it for them.

I pay £47 or thereabouts for genuine Prys so why take the chance? I made the mistake of buying a load of 'cheap' cable on a site a while back and it just bit me in the arse with poor readings once installed.....and the OP has worked in a couple of them for me! ;)

Looks okay, bet you could get a decent make for that cost at a wholesaler though

Have to agree - I pay less for 2.5 at the wholesalers. Nail them down on price and support your local wholesaler :)

I've used it for all sort of jobs......walking the dog.......towing the van.......skipping.......and most recently strangling my wife. I can't say I had any problems with it but what I will say is always have the hole dug before you kill her...

Cheers for the replies.

Looks like I need to have a chat with my suppliers, I'm still paying £52 for a 100M reel of 2.5

Jimmy, I find a furnace leaves less evidence.....
