Cant find much but the local pub are wanting a LED fitting for outside in an under bay type area - Its pretty low you can touch the roof of the smoking area from below..

Im fitting to the side of this 2 50W LED Outside fittings, but they want a LED fitting under the actual smoke shed area on a PIR.. I suggested a LED REtrofit 2D Light fitting but they said NO they dont like the look of the 2D fittings, i think it will look abit crappy with say 2 x 10W LED outside fittings as its pretty low down needs some sort of fittings that spread the light out rather than down if this makes sense!

Anyone know of anything and how much or website to get from etc looking at about £50 for them if possible

Cheers
Dave

Depends on distance the fitting is from the ground...The LED fittings dont spread the light as well, but if its just on the side of a smoking hut then the 50W LED fitting should give the same output as the 250W floodlight. Where as we have just fitted 70W LED floodlights on posts about 20 metres high, they where quoted as equivelent to 400W floodlights but at that height I'd say they where equivalent to 250W. Definately not the same output as 400W HQI.

Another quick question on the same lines as this the 50W Outside LED light fittings what are they equivalent to? They have http://www.foxlec.co.uk/image/cache/data/Lighting/a250mh-500x500.jpg atm do you think 1 50W LED fitting will give of the same amount of light as the above? Cheers
What size of lamp is in that fitting, don't see it marked. Smallest is 150W, don't think 50W LED would do it but the LED stuff is moving along pretty quick and not done much with floodlights.

Same not really done much but ive quoted 2 x 50W LED lamps to replace big lights lol there not that high and the 2 LED 50W fittings will only cover about 7M x 3M area so i guess it will be good enough if not i could always add another there only 45 quid so worst case would be a 3rd fitting.. Loss of 45 quid but making enough anyway on the job!

If they can afford it thorlux does an IP65 rated LED fitting which is the equivilent of a 28watt 2D type fitting, can't remember the name right now but I have installed one in a school from a spec and it looked pretty nice, around 150 quid from memory though, it comes with a priismatic lid and a white round base, I think and I'm not 100% it is a dot halo type light but IP65
