I am out in the desert with a lightning protection question that I am hoping someone can help me with.
We try to adhere to 17th Edition rules and regs where possible. I haven't got my regs book with me so can't refer to that.

I have a small installation that should be protected against lightning strike. It is a comms radome. The next door building has an electrode fitted for lightning protection. What are the rules with regards to connecting to an adjacent buildings lightning protection system.

I could put an electrode in but the water table is approximately 140 feet.

If anyone can advise I would be very grateful.

Many thanks.

Tim.

Hi Tim,

Personally I have never had anything to do with lighting conductors,
However one of the EXCLUSIONS to the 17th edition regulations is lightning protection

sorry to be the barers of bad news

Richard
