Hoping someone can help please. Back in the day, this unit was available all over the place: -

Very handy for areas when getting cable put in was a git.

Does anyone know of a suitable alternative please? The PIRS are IP65, and only need a 9v battery, they take to a hardwired controller (433Mhz) and you control the duration of the contact closure time at the controller.

Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

Cheers

The Quinetic range of wireless switches / receivers etc has a couple of PIR sensors available (battery powered) that would operate the appropriate Quinetic receiver. Don't know if the range would be enough for your application?

Edit: I see there are other RF (not WiFi) options around, but PIR + receiver seem to be over £100.
These guys do good long range RF link stuff:

Tried Quintec - not holding much hope, realy bad qaulity and not resistant to water in my opinion, even with the silicon skirt they provide. The pot for light flux just span on one of the PIRs. Giving them a go but not holding much hope.

Looks like TLC do an easy switch range. May try these. As AVO MK8 states, over £100 for receiver and transmitter. As i need two PIRs will get pricey.

any others anybody?

The only such products I can vouch for are the Philips Hue range, which you probably won't want to get into. I've had two of their battery RF PIR's outside on exposed north and south sides of the house for 5 years and no problems. They are only IP54.

Incidentally I've had Quinetic switches outside for years, again with no problems, but I've never seen their PIR. In all other respects I've previously considered their products excellent!
