Hi all,

What is the most popular outdoor wall or spike lights you install? What manufacturers? Typically use Knightsbridge's outdoor range but am interested to see what everyone else is using.

Also, what wireless controls do you use when customer asks for this?

Yep, and I have their indoor stuff as well.

I switched to ones made by Philips about 10 years ago and 90% of them still function perfectly. I have had to replace the battery on a few and I clean them inside and out during the year.

I buy enough extra lights to have spares so when one fails I have an identical replacement. Year to year the manufacturers change the exact design of their outdoor lights and I like to have mine all look the same. So whether they come as a 4-pack or a 6-pack I buy an extra set to have replacements.

It may be the PV for charging or the LED or the glass gets broken or a plastic part becomes brittle and breaks off. The only way to have "spares" is to have a full replacement light that is exactly the same. With the ones that use solar for recharging a battery I have no worries about something damaging a power feed.
