Discuss Neutral to Earth is live (230v) in my distribution board?! in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Has anyone experienced this before?

The neutral bar is live.. nothing had tripped and everything works fine in the property.

any ideas?

What's the voltage between line and earth? Some pictures of the service cutout, meter and the connection to the board might be interesting.

This is dangerous as your circuit breakers are likely single pole and only in the line conductors, ads won't occur with current flowing between neutral to earth.

How have you confirmed that it is the neutral bar that is live and not the earth?
What did you use to make this voltage measurement and did you measure the voltage between any other points?

You need a live-neutral, live-earth and neutral-earth measurement to make sense of this.
