There's no chance I'm touching it to take photo.

It is exactly per Richards amazing art work ;)

Thanks again Richard!!

And to all that couldn't be bothered to offer advice as simply replied "call electrician".........thanks also :)
They say a picture is worth a thousand words...in this case I'd say the refusal to touch it take a picture is worth a thousand words.

Another DIY botch job out there I fear.

What isn't the point of this forum?

For 'experts' like yourself 123 to simply insult and put people down who ask for DIY advise? If so well done, you are indeed an expert in this field.

I clearly stated my connections have followed Richards image to a T, so if my installation is a botch job Richards advice is also bad advice.

My installation is working and has been checked over and confirmed safe I don't need to take apart now and justify this to people like you.

I wanted to do this myself, you might be the type of person that would just get someone else to do a job for you if you found it a bit difficult but each to their own.

Anyway, the lights fitted, working and happy it's with the electrical safety check that has been carried out on it so no need for anymore 'experts' to waste anymore time with comments.

no need to get shirty. you've had good advice and maybe a bit of a put down from some posts, but what do you expect? we feed our families doing this, and DIYers steal the bread from our kids'mouths by asking for advice how to cut us out of earning a living, not possessing the knowledge and equipment to do the work safely. i have a heart problem. think i'll ask on the surgeons' forum as how to perform a triple bypass. can'r be too hard, it's only a few arteries. :D

My Eastwing is a bit dirty but I have just bought a new clean jab saw though.

A ELEX on Thursday there was a good selection of KO kit at one of the stands, nice and shiny
Not much of a tool tart Pete only tend to buy when it is needed. My Channelock cutters, pliers and pipe grips are thirty odd years old, I do have a thing for expensive shoes though :D

if our profession is such low skilled why did you make such an abortion of a simple job like that, then come on here to ask a bunch of "low-skilled electricians" how to do it. you bloody ignorant PRATT!
