Its not a stupid question, maybe guys who have been in the trade for years and years pick up things that more or less are common things with these cowboys, I don't know myself, but always wondered if any experience people actaully can say, that is hardly a stupid question!!!

If you took the trouble to read my full quote and then additional info which I forgot to mention, then you would realise that there is no need to repeat some tests what I thought about doing and will do is copy the same IR reading from before changing the CU, that is NOT a cowboy!!!

Infact I have come across many cowboy electricans, they either have no brians to transpose a simple equation or cannot be bothered to upgrade cables before putting in shower units >6500W etc, etc, I am trying to teach electricans how to do testing correctly and the maths behind it, though I have no interest in breaking walls to run a cable!!
