New van, lease or buy?

Do you prefer the hiace to previous vans?

IMO the hiace is in the same league as the VW transporter, but with a better boiler and crunch box. and it don't rot like transits and mercs.

Glasgow - Van Monster these could be worth visiting. These are all northgates ex contract/lease hire vans so all been regularly serviced etc and they do some good deals.

I drive a transit custom but also have a Peugeot partner on the firm which I hate as it's to small and wish I never bought it lol.

and, as a bonus, the hiace has the engine fitted the right way round, driving the back wheels. none of this CV joint/boot MOT fails.

Transit custom is what I've got my heart set on lol, driven one already and loved it and love the look of it as well, think it's the perfect size too! Over 10k though if I want to get one, knowing what I'm like though I will cave in! What's your thoughts on it? I have a transit connect atm it's a nice little van just not big enough!

I like the custom it's a good van and perfect size for what I need. My one is on lease from Vanarama they do all the servicing, tyres, repairs, etc.

Yeah true. I may buy it though once the lease is up as normally get offered a right good deal.

Well i would like to know more about this guy in Leeds, i dont think i could be able to able to pay for a van out right (even have to sell my car to add to it ) not that keen on hiring

I did think planning a job out, ment that just take what you need and wouldnt need a big van.

I manage fine with my Berlingo [same as Peugeot Partner], anything really big and heavy - such as a load of storage heaters for example, I'd get delivered to the job.

I think it's because it's not very organised and everything gets thrown in at the end of the day. Roll on the next day I need something that's on the bottom and I start doing my nut lol

i dont like the newer shape, the front seat sticks out a foot in the back and thats without a bulkhead.

if you put a bulkhead in then you would lose a lot of space to get things in and out

Yeah you have to have all your gear pretty well organised otherwise you can end up digging around for ages to find bits which gets very frustrating. I made a big wooden box from ply with compartments for all the smaller bits and pieces and put it on a stand with slats below to put drills/tester etc in underneath.

I should really do something like that. I had the whole contents of the van on the pavement the other day looking for 1 flanged coupler lol.

im like a magpie, stuff is burried but i know where it is and crawl in the van and dig it out XD and i do mean dig it out
