Hi
We have two alcoves with a downward niche light in each. About 4 years old. Pic attached.

Both operate from one switch. One light is flashing like a strobe when switched on - guess needs replacing?
Appears to be a solid unit rather than containing a bulb that can be replaced.
No obvious way of determining make/model.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
John

That's an LED lamp, more than likely the driver has thrown a wobbly and will need replacing. Hopefully it's a self contained unit with integral driver that can be swapped easily.

Safely isolate the lights. And gently pull the fitting downwards, using your fingertips, moving from side to side until you see a springy thing. Then pull that side down first. Watch out for the springs. They hurt. :)

FWIW if the electrician did his "bit" he would have registered the lights with JCC so you would benefit from a 10 year warranty......

Maybe a call to JCC may clear this up?

Really helpful suggestion - I’ve emailed JCC
Cheers, John

If it is a JCC one, and one of their ill-fated FGLED6, you could probably contact them and get it replaced without it being previously registered for their extended warranty. They had a few, and given up all hope.
