.. Maybe now would be the time to have our own section for the genuine time served sparks...

But then we could end up with a non-time served sparks section which time served sparks can't enter and a section for those that have a JIB card and are also masons, so we can't see what business they are doing. Then how about a section for the girlies where they can discuss the problems of periods and babies without any hairy ars*d industrial electricans taking the p*ss.

And what about me, I want a section for the intelligent, good looking sparky, with more that the average dash of sex appeal and charisma!

OR, why dont we just forget all these "clique" groupings of I'm better than you and just keep to one open forum for everyone? Only a suggestion of course as Im not a mason ......

All well and good mate but I have worked all my life, or most of it for HMG as an Electrician with all the relevant quals and more than enough experience but no JIB card it wasn't needed

Was that inside or outside of the bars :smiley2:

Someone with a very limited command of English posted today about a selv fan in zone 1 of a bathroom. This same person PMd me a good few months back to ask about cable selection and zoning, I told him all the info he needed was in the various books that he should own. He went straight on the defensive claiming his regs book had been left at work. It's obviously still there!

Now fair enough, there's none of us know everything but the standard of some of the questions we're asked scares the bejasus out of me.

The same bloke (I think) wasn't too impressed with the advice I gave him.

There's just no pleasing some folk :)

Good post (#1). Most effective way of dealing with this, is just not reply I reckon. Or just post a picture of tumbleweed. "This question is too trivial for me, I'm not going to demean myself by responding." I personally find the whining and bitchiness only slightly less irritating than the original stupid questions - unless it's good banter, of course, in which case fair play :-)

He/she/it PMd me too.

It had it's nurses' uniform on and was wanting to know about my illness.

I politely declined to offer any info. ......

Blokes in nurses uniforms and handcuffs!!!!!................ you could imagine you are in Sunderland!!! :001_9898: :dita:
