Not sure of his name I think it may be Chris Young, apologies beforehand it I have it wrong, but from 101 things you don;t need a builder for Chris reckons RCD stands for Reduced Circuit Device and thats on national TV for Gods sake
 
Agreed with all DW, good post.

A couple of months back there was a kick up and the DIY (destroy it yourself) section was born.

Maybe now would be the time to have our own section for the genuine time served sparks. Something along the lines of the Arms which has entry restrictions (which i dont meet). EG show JIB card or craftsmans cert etc to keep the pseudo sparks away and they can educate each other.

All well and good mate but I have worked all my life, or most of it for HMG as an Electrician with all the relevant quals and more than enough experience but no JIB card it wasn't needed
