hi, could anyone tell me what other qualifications i need to apply for an sjib electricians grade card? I have my 16th/17th edition city and guilds, ecs health and safety certificate and pat testing certificate. I also have 14 years experience which can be verified with my c.v. I am currently working as an electrician on domestic installations. I am a bit confused as to what the next step is.

Best bet it to contact SECTT re: the crediting electrotechnical competence scheme, assuming you have completed a recognised apprenticeship if so they will consider your experience and let you know what you need to do to gain your nvq3 which is the "ONLY" way that the SJIB will grade you.

Best bet would be to complete the NVQ 2356 which is recognised by the SJIB as outlined on their website . There are a number of training providers who let you do this online such as Delta and XS Training who both charge a reasonable cost of around £550 - £600
