Buy the code if practice . That is what the course is based on .
If you are really flush buy the exam success book. They are both available from the IET site.

It’s more of what to expect for the multiple choice questions, I understand for a lot of you it would be a doddle, but I’m still training

The OP has asked a reasonable question so can posts be relevant to his query and not jibes about PATesting.

There are some mock exams online - here's a link to one
If doing a course, make sure it is the C&G 2377-22, using the 4th Edition Code of Practice. There are cheaper alternatives, that will give everyone a "certificate of attendance" or similar, even if you slept through the whole thing. As with most of these things, the attendees fall into two camps - those that aren't interested and don't want to be there, but their employer has made them go - and those that want to be there as they've paid for it out of their own pocket, for their own personal development.

I asked a reasonable question but it’s beeb removed?
I would like to know the benefits of this course as I have never heard of it and may be interested in also doing it..

Will ask again..
What are the benefits of doing this course? Is it something customers are requesting?

The OP is a trainee and some responses are negative to his query. Any course to a trainee should be deemed as beneficial.

This course is largely aimed at Facilities Management, both in-house and outsourced workers, whose remit covers ISITEE. There will also be people there that want to start their own PAT businesses, plus a seasoned sparks or two.

I went on a PAT course a few years ago. No prior knowledge except basic theory of electrics.
It was fun, informative., easy to understand, and I did it for 2 reasons:
1. To fulfill my CPD requirements for the year
2. Because i wanted to learn something so i could provide an extra service to my landlord clients

I still do PA testing, and enjoy it because my livelihood doesn't depend on it, so it's a jaunt for a day.

Lack of revision materials is not a problem...you learn on the day.
However, reading the relevant COP afterwards will be beneficial.

Go see, swot later. It will be fun, and another string to your bow.

Back in the day when it was thought to be a yearly requirement by companies to have their 'portable' electrical items tested 'pat' testing flourished
As you know it is the responsibility of employers to provide safe equipment with servicing records . PAT (ISITEE is the correct terminology) testing is a way to comply with this. A lot of electricians offered this service to get a foot in the door . In time the 'requirement' relaxed and the rates for testing plummeted and it is no longer a viable enterprise unless you are specialising in it . The rates are low and the time it takes to do it properly is not justified by the reward.
Excuse the disjointed post , I am shattered.

If it's to do with your employer ,get a copy of the manual for the PAT tester equipment they have !
(Need model no for that !)
