Something that most apprentices are not trained in these days it would seem so that's going to be a dying art.

Good riddance to pyro lol , spending 20 mins painstakingly making a end off just to find a molecule of moisture has buggered up your i.r tests.
whoever invented fp200 deserves a medal :-D

^^^^^ what do you think that would pay alarm man?£35k ish?just out of interest.
Btw to the op I'm in industrial control, plc, drives, instrumentation etc, very interesting field.

with the overtime and callout id say so,plus theres the other benefits like car/van phone lappy etc which can be a few grand saved if your not paying for them yourself

Thats not too bad then really and as you say with the other benefits quite a good package.van/phone's got to be £300 a month in costs easily.
I wonder if anyone on here will go for it?

Personally I'm into pleasure craft and canal boats and the amount and variety of electrical work you can find in this area is amazing - and it nearly always involves working somewhere nice!

with the state of the industry at the minute and will get worse before it gets better imo, good opportunity for a spark wanting a change from contracting etc to get into a national company, secure job, training etc
