Pvc is water resistant but swa cables from memory when working at a marina are not recommended for being submerged in water. This thread popped up yesterday.

The worst I've had is CCTV cable that was some kind of Black Flex melt.

and the old White T&E cracking in the sun but that stuff seems tuffer to me but maybe that's for another thread....
