Good afternoon, a colleague of mine has recently had three brand new Bosch washing machines pack up, each within four weeks of being installed.
I did a check on the voltage and it's 246.3v. Surely this shouldn't have had an effect on the machines...?
Bosch seem quite happy to keep replacing them (?) and I've asked my colleague to find out from the company as to what part of the machine keeps failing.
Any ideas...?

If there was a problem with the electrical supply in the building then Bosch, or whoever is supplying the machines, would have been highlighting it and not replacing the washing machine.

It may be an issue with a batch of components if the failed machines were assembled around the same time.

I doubt you'll get an answer regarding exactly what the fault was.

That voltage is within tolerance and will not have damaged the appliances.

As you say, the key is to find out what failed. Could be complete coincidence and 3 different failure modes, or could be a bad batch where the same thing has failed each time.

Have they had any other household appliances go faulty in the same time? If not then no real reason to suspect supply issues.

What time of day was the voltage checked and have you checked it at other times.
While the tested voltage you have is within the tolerance allowed for the supply the voltage will vary at different times of the day
A little while ago having connected a power monitor to my supply at home I found the voltage was varying by 30 - 35v across the day and on a few occasions was peaking just above the upper limit, I got the DNO involved as I suspected a network fault having had a similar problem on a site many years ago where the voltage was dropping as low as 190v, the problem years ago was a failing local link box at the end of the street that was replaced, talking to the DNO guy the problem I had at home that was causing the the voltage fluctuation was down to issues with the sensors on the auto tapping transformers feeding the area
The highest voltage I have seen on an apparently normal supply was 272v in the early hours of one morning responding to an intruder alarm callout although I have seen higher voltages with a floating neutral faults on the network
