Looking for cheap but quality drill and impact. I prefer sds' for drilling, we use monster 36v hiltis at work but I find them too heavy for drilling under 10mm. I have found panasonic do a 14.4v li-ion sds at £210 with two batteries, which means I can buy a naked panny 14.4v li-ion impact for £80, bargain if there any good! Anyone have any experience?

hi i had the panasonic 24v sds before i had it nicked great little drill batteries seem to run
forever

*Bump*

I too am intrigued/curious about these little 14v sds drills.

Anyone had experience of them? Seem ideal for 5.5 plugging but means spending £400 or more for a big boy sds too....

I've had one for only a few months and not had too much time to really test it out, but from what I've seen of it I'm very impressed. Don't know where you're getting one as cheap as that though because they always seem to be nearer £300 when I look. As for the Impact I'm looking at getting one from the USA for just over £72.

I mentioned on another drill thread that without ANY doubt The Panasonic 24v Impact I have must be the best tool i have ever owned. I dont use it the most, but when i do It is amazing. Fully charged i can work all day with it. The batteries etc and out of this world.

I regard them a little different in their design compared to the "others" . The build quality is perfect .

You will love Panasonic

I used to own the 14.4v Panasonic SDS and it was brilliant. I bought it because it was light and clipped to my climbing harness with no problems. I didn't expect too much from it but it is amazing!!!! It used Air Compression for the hammer function and although I only ever used mine with small 6-8mm bits, found it drilled anything with no problems. The batteries are also great and last for ages. I keep going on about this but I cannot understand why people buy Combi drills anymore. They struggle to drill most hard bricks. I use a 22v hilti sds and a 14v hilti driver and it is the best combo I've found. You can't go wrong with the Panasonic.
