looking at a rewire for a block of 8 apartments, have a 3 phase supply in the basement, been asked to provide seperate metering next to the supply authorities meter.

be running an swa (not sure of size but possibly for 63amp single phase supply) to cu in each apartment

maybe also need to install a 3 phase board in the basement

can anyone suggest a fairly simple (easiest) way of providing this, are there any panel boards with meters already mounted etc...

apprieciate any help you can offer

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

I usually use the Merlin Gerin metering equipment myself, can be a bit more expensive though. Dorman Smith also do a good metering pack for their panel boards.

With the Merlin kit you can direct connect loads upto 63A, anything more and you would need CT metering

Can I ask why they require additional metering to the suppliers meter??

Cheers.

supplier will only be putting the 1 meter in, need to supply meters / panel board so the landlord can split the bill

just looking for something fairly easy / tidy to install,

If you dont want to go down the metered panelboard route then you can buy recon electricity meters from the wholesaler for about £12.

I maintain a few block flats for a housing association. There set up is as follows.

3 phase supply and meter from DNO is fed into a switch fuse then into a busbar chamber. From there tails are taken to a individual switch fuse for each flat and metered via a CT.

Simple but effective,

Ian
