Hi Folks,

I have recently set up my own company and have been working on various commercial contracts...but have just picked up some loft conversion jobs on domestic properties. I am looking into joining the NICEIC scheme for the part p..my question is as part of the assesment the NICEIC need to come and assess the work I have done..so how do I go about certifying this work before I pass the part p with the NICEIC? Hope this makes sense.

THanx in advance, Nick.

Well, you should be notifying building control prior to starting any notifiable work and then paying the associated fees.

I have read posts where guys have not notified and at the assessment this is noted as a non-compliance but doesn't seem to be serious enough to warrant the dreaded (and expensive) re-visit.
