HI all

just got update in which they mention the following for battery storage.

Since the Solar PV Tariff drop, battery storage has become a way to combat the cuts by storing theenergy from the Solar PV installation and using it during the evening or on-peak tariff times. We areaware that many battery storage units are being installed to existing and new Solar PV systems andwant to remind you of your responsibilities of an installer. As the battery storage unit are classified as a “source of energy” they are deemed to be generators. This means you must follow the standard generator connection process as defined in ENA ER G83and ENA ER G59. This means that all Distribution Network Operators (DNO) will either need to benotified of each battery storage installation or, for larger storage units, the local DNO will require togive permission before a battery storage system is installed. For any information regarding connections and battery storage then you may contact your local.

We brought up the DNO discussion a few weeks ago. That's the way is is..
