Hello from Quebec. I understand there are conflicting reports as to what can be legally installed here, specifically whether or not a junction box must be placed inbetween the switch and the breaker box.
I've sent my insurance co the question as to what effect installing the transfer switch pictured here. I'm hoping they give me the go ahead, but if not, I'll have some questions about the junction box they'll want inbetween.
This is what I want to install:

I'm hoping I can do this direct, as it is a most straightforward job. However, in the event they insist on the junction box inbetween, will this do...??

If this will do, what exactly are they asking here..?? A third set of breakers..?? Or what..?? Anybody have a wiring diagram..??
Thanks.

Ok, so for what it's worth, my insurance co just approved it as is, couple bucks increase for the "improvement", so I guess that settles it, at least for me. Thanks.
