Hello All,

My parents own a pool with an automatic pool cover. However, in order to open and close the cover, you have to manually bend over and push the switch either up or down and hold it for the entire duration which can be a nuisance. I haven't opened it up yet, but I have attached an image to give an idea of what we're dealing with.

I am hoping to somehow rig this up with a remote control so we can open it from the house. Of course there are products that allow you to plug a standard 110V device in and use a remote, but obviously this is a bit different.

I'm an engineer but no electrician, so I have no idea how to go about this. Any recommendations or ideas on how to (hopefully) easily do this would be greatly appreciated!

Probably the best thing you can do is add a timer
