Hi, first post please be gentle :)

I have just tried to replace the light in my bedroom but have a problem with it.

I cannot get it to switch, it is either permantly switched on or off depending on which way you wire it.

I belive there are 2 lives and 2 neutrals going to the light (2 brown 2 blue)

How should this be wired up!

It is possible that 1 of your (neutrals) is in effect a switched live.

If this is the case then you will need to identify which is your supply live and neutral cable.

Then join your 2 lives together in rose or block connector. Connect your neutral to fitting neutral and your switched live to live at fitting.
