Richer Sounds Manchester Deansgate is now recruiting for an enthusiastic Installations Professional to join our team with an immediate start! As the UK’s largest Hi-Fi, Home Cinema and TV specialists, we offer a comprehensive installations service that ensures we can deliver on all jobs, from small product set-ups, to major home conversion jobs, and everything in between!

The role involves dealing with customer enquiries, performing site visits and installations, managing contractors, and maintaining regular contact time on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will be highly professional and enthusiastic, and although they may not necessarily be from a sales/retail background (though preferred), they must possess a strong aptitude for home installations. A full driving licence is also essential.

The successful candidate will be offered a well-paid, secure job with fantastic company benefits, as well as the opportunity to work in an exciting company where the right candidate can advance their skills and take an installations career to new heights.

If interested please reply with a copy of your CV and address to the store Manager, or visit/call the branch.

Can you be slightly more specific about the salary? Every job nowadays likes to think they offer a salary of £attractive but that is subjective dependent on what you were doing before. Is it higher or lower than JIB rates? It sounds like an interesting job but without trying to sound condescending I doubt anyone on here would want to work for the same as a sales assistant.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the response.

To clarify, this is not directly a sales role, and so is paid differently to a sale colleague. Because we are looking at potentially broad levels of experience, we never 'promise' a salary, as this potentially can lead to disappointment, and can limit the candidates that might apply to us. We are very open about the candidate we hire, and therefore do not set a rigid salary range. Though we are aware that in order to recruit the best people, we have to offer a salary that is an incentive for the colleague to stay with Richer Sounds, or we will not be competitive as an employer.

The right candidate for us would hopefully be attracted to the other benefits of working for Richer Sounds too, not just salary - such as the great working environment, the interesting products, and of course possibility to advance their career. We are of course the largest AV and Hi-Fi specialists in the UK.

If you wish to discuss particulars, please feel free to send me a private message on here, and I will reply as soon as possible.

I hope this answers your question.

Kind regards,

Pete

Oh Richer sounds there's a name I like, I have been promising myself for the last god knows how many years that 1 day i will walk into a store and spend a fortune on an audio system Seperate stacking system.
Oh I do miss my Mission 77 speakers.

I bought my first DvD player from Richer Sounds in Newcastle, multi region thing when they first came out. Cost me a bloody fortune, now you can get them at Asda for £20.
You should do guitar amps.

Dear Richer Sounds,

as there is absolutely nothing whatsoever that you can possibly teach me about audio systems that I either don't already know or once knew and have forgotten as irrelevant (in fact, tbh, I've now forgotten what I've forgotten. And honestly, I've probably forgotten more than most people will ever know, as well) after two decades of working in studios and live performance venues across the globe, am great with customers (especially the pretty ones), know how to make you look great in front of your regional boss and can keep my hands out of the till, I assume you've found your dream perfect candidate and are no longer looking. As such, you'll be delighted to hear that your competitive salary for hiring 'the best person' is £75k pa basic, plus commission, plus health, pension and sports club. When would you like me to start? Oh, hang on, just spotted you're Manchester - better make that £85k basic.

What? You've changed your mind?? You now DON'T want 'the best person'??.....you just want somebody for less than £18k. Er............

Pink Floyd needs to be played LOUD. what more is there to know about sound systems? :smilielol5:

I was always in Richer Sounds Romford, and once or twice in the London Bridge outlet. Been around for years now. The Brand was known as a budget outlet, that also brought up and sold off bankrupt stock, as well as manufacturers discontinued models at very reasonable prices.
