I fitted one of the ring floodlight cameras to a 4" round junction box that I got from amazon around 8 months ago. Customer has phoned to say the bracket holding the junction box to the wall has snapped.

Amazon don't offer this box anymore. Has anyone else found a 4" round waterproof junction box that will work with the ring cameras?

Can't seem to find anything suitable

What IP rating are you looking for?
How about something like this?

I thought it would be easy to find a 4" round metal waterproof JB... I was wrong.

use a galv. besa box and make an oversize plate (4" holesaw in some 2mm gallv. steel) to mount the fitting after drilling the plate to suit.

If the camera was mounted onto that box I'm not surprised the brackets failed.
Even more so if the box was mounted with the brackets on the sides as photo.

It needs a box with better fixings than that, ideally 4 internal fixings.

No wonder they don’t sell it anymore
Without seeing it, a cheap fix might be to reuse existing but go internal fixings with penny washers and silicon. I think it would stay on the wall, but keeping the water out will be the trick.

I think this may be the only solution
