Discuss Self policing EICR cowboys in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I could write the letter of reply now... "We take the standard of work of our members very seriously... blah blah blah", "All our members are vetted before admittance and annually... blah blah blah", "We encourage all our members to undertake CPD to... blah blah blah", "We will of course look into any reported shortcomings... blah blah blah"

Imagine a large carpet... with a big bulge in it... that's where all this would end up...

...not that I'm cynical at all.
And who would that reply be from NICEIC, UKAS or MHCLG

There already is a point of contact, thats why customers already use scheme providers. The amount electrical work goes on in this world and we only hear the ---- on here... so anyone who has got problems should be approaching the schemes... they have to be told...

Someone hit it on head the other day, I'm sure if niceic got complaints after complaints about a contractor they will do something about it. if something happened and it's been logged several times about a contractor , well the proofs there, schemes havent being doing their job.

Watched this video last night, from Thomas Nagy. Sorting the aftermath of a drive by EICR and makes a few interesting observations near the end.

Three new boards fitted late 2020 and each was thrown in, using whatever components were to hand.

The problem is the NICEIC don't have a good track record when it comes to dealing with complaints
