A friend of mine has an old mechanical Horstmann Astral stair lighting timer. It has managed to get completely out of whack in both times and month.
Anyone know how to adjust or reset one of these clocks? Can’t find any instructions other than “don’t mess with these things, live electricity, very bad, get a professional” I just want to know how to set the month, date and time on this thing.
Any suggestions?

They're simple enough to set up.
You just have to wind it, clockwise as per arrows, manually through the months till it's showing the correct month and time.
Don't over do it otherwise you'll end up winding it almost a whole year extra.

The day you have to guess.
Currently it looks to be at 10.am on the 22nd October (about 3/4 through the month)
Reset was not an option on mechanical clocks.
