If the shower is off no more heat will be generated so it will cool down on its own...

Sounds like a rubbish design to me. To cool it down you have to turn off the heating element (which as Robson says 'If the shower is off no more heat will be generated so it will cool down on its own') or run cold water through it. The last thing I would want it when I turn the shower off it carries on, but pumps out cold water over me.

My Mira sport does that, when finished it flushes through cold, you do have to move out the way sharpish or cover the Crown Jewels

I try not to be a bore. I think an electric (or not) shower needs a timer or at least
non electric delay self closing valve for hot water.Thank you.
